Oh the waiting, the WAITING!!!

I had decided earlier to leave them alone after this. The egg is moving on the bottom of the 'Bator, so I know its close.....

Hatch, hatch, hatch, hatch, hatch *slowly, quietly whispering this chant*

How is the hatch Petej?

My first winter coturnix hatch
Set 36 eggs
pulled 4 stinkers
5 Infertile eggs
hatched 21 chicks (2 died after hatching) 19 live chicks
5 died in egg around 10-12 days or so

Button hatch
Set 9 eggs
1 infertile
6 hatched
2 died in egg around 12 days

I had a power outage during this hatch.

Is it just me, or maybe we shouldn't set 8 different species, with 8 different hatching dates and 8 different temp./humidity levels in the same incubator, and think everything is fine?

I know I'm crazy, I just need some sane person to tell me I'm crazy.... WHAT THE HECK!

Chickens
Coturnix Quails
Button Quails (Chinese painted Quails)

Never had any issues with these 3 hatching together
I do have a separate hatcher which has a glass door so I can watch the hatches and pull the chicks every couple hours during hatch.
I also have space for a couple different trays in the hatcher so I could even separate them even more but I've not had any problems yet so see no need to do more at the moment

SORRY JOE... I DO STAGGERED HATCHES ALMOST EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR.... BUT FOR WHAT ITS WORTH I USE A SEPERATE HATCHER WHICH GREATLY ENABLES THIS BEHAVIOR...
