They are adorable!

Congratulations! I wish I could offer more help on the colors, but I've never been owned by Silkies.

Wonderful job! I'm so glad your family could experience it, too! I'm hoping for an early or late hatch ... my set date was something I didn't even consider until I just read this thread: I set on a Thursday. Bummer!

But anyways, yay for you!

how exciting for you to walk pass and see the pips...you must have jumped out of your skin...they are stinkin' cute...love the little egg tooth still on them...my silkies are hatching as we speak...well pipped anyway! and first timer here with silkies so I know nothing to help you with colors...

Owned by silkies.... Isn't that the truth! Actually my hatch date was Monday, it just so happened that 3 of the 4 pipped one morning early. I was so surprised. One of them busted out of the shell just a couple hours later. The other two waited until the middle of the night. The last one pipped and hatched the next day, and I was the only one home to see it. It was really wonderful that everyone got to witness our very first hatch. My kids were squealing with excitment, and I think I was doing about the same! You just might be surprised as well, they can be unpredicable!

Yes, exciting was an understatement. I was ridiculously elated, nervous, anxious and SUPER GLUED to the incubator. Of course we had to put off going to the pumpkin patch so we could stare at the eggs. I hope you have some adorable chicks now!!

Thanks to all for the comments on my pictures. I'm glad you like them. I can't wait to see what the silver one turns out like! Looks like it's going to be a mystery!
