Congratulations! I wish I could offer more help on the colors, but I've never been owned by Silkies.

Wonderful job! I'm so glad your family could experience it, too! I'm hoping for an early or late hatch ... my set date was something I didn't even consider until I just read this thread: I set on a Thursday. Bummer!

I don't know about the spot but I have blue/black splash cochins and one has a red spot on it like that, it had it ever since I got it at 1 day.
