One of them busted out of the shell just a couple hours later. The other two waited until the middle of the night. The last one pipped and hatched the next day, and I was the only one home to see it. It was really wonderful that everyone got to witness our very first hatch. My kids were squealing with excitment, and I think I was doing about the same! You just might be surprised as well, they can be unpredicable!

Yes, exciting was an understatement. I was ridiculously elated, nervous, anxious and SUPER GLUED to the incubator. Of course we had to put off going to the pumpkin patch so we could stare at the eggs. I hope you have some adorable chicks now!!
