Hi Guys,

My Fiance and I will be relocating to Malta OH sometime in June

We bought a 7 acre mini farm last week.

Our chicken of choice is going to be jersey giants

I would prefer to buy locally after the move so if any one has any please let me know.

We also plan on raising up a few pigs and keeping the pond well stocked with bass.

Also does any one know of any good livestock sales? We will not be buying right away but would love to go check one out.

But i go to a smaller auction in Degraff Ohio and then a few times a year there is a BIG auction - Mount Hope auction - millersburg Ohio - you will find anything and everthing there . There is also a swap meet in Troy Ohio this weekend

Malta is about 20 miles from Marietta.

Thanks for the auction information I will have to find out which ones are close enough to go to.

Hi! I'm from Lakewood, Ohio. Found out today we are not allowed to have Chickens here

I have already ordered chicks from Meyer Hatchery and I'm hoping I won't have to cancel. (They arrive May 31st)
I am a first time chicken keeper, but have always wanted some! I love reading the stories and advice on BYC and I think I'm ready for my girls...Just my city isn't.
If I can have the chicks I ordered a Buckeye, Silver Laced Wyandotte, buff Brahma and a Barred Plymouth Rock.
