I am just south of you, down at Greenville!

There are a few others near you, too.

Does anyone have a Silver Appleyard drake they would like to sell? I have 3 females, but no males.
This has been a great year for me-out of 7 ducklings, I have 7 females!

2 are Mallards and 2 I am unsure of the breed. I would trade or sell all 4 of them for a drake, if you want them.

Well...I've just learned that my husband has taken a job in the Columbus area, so here we come! I was wondering...Would anyone mind telling me if there are certain surrounding areas/towns/neighborhoods that are more chicken-friendly than others? We're looking to the northern and eastern sides of the city...Can't have chickens where we live now, but I'm very hopeful for the future and appreciate anybody's help! If you don't want to b'cast your location, a DM is fine.

I'd also be happy to buy any extra eggs off anybody's hands in the interim after we move there. LOL ;D

Depends on if you want to live in city or rural...

I'm in south-eastern Morrow County and can hit the north side of Columbus in 35 minutes. Rural living but still close enough to the big city

Yes jsut depends where you want - more into the city it gets tougher- Clintonville alllows chickens - BExley too . But out side of there like where i am Marysville - into total downtown in 30 minutes - can do what you want. Columbus is nice cause you can be in country fairly quick.

Thanks Inkheart & elevan! I'm not a "downtown" kind of gal and prefer having some land around me! We'd rather live outside of the city in a rural or semi-rural area, which is where we've mostly been living. I'm hoping to find something nice out there and we've seen some cuties thanks to the internet. If y'all see a gal who looks like she stepped out of the 40s or 50s looking at houses...say hi! It's probably me! And I'll want to squeal over your chickies. Fair warning.

Suggestion in my area would be Marengo, Ohio. Small town surrounded by rural. Couple minutes access and you're on Interstate 71 and can get to Columbus very quickly.

Randolph, Ohio here! We have 10 chickens (looking for more), 2 grey Toulouse, & 2 blue Indian Runners. The chickens are bantam Cochins, Old English Game Bantams, and Seramas.
