Winter has made it here Knobby. I about froze when I was under dressed and the wind and rain came today. We will get a little snow tonight and tomorrow morning and then back to rain on Friday. We are due I am sure even though it is still fall. I will miss the nice weather.

Yeah, I am nearing that time when I have to replace the front bucket, on my tractor, with the snow thrower. This year has really flown by.

On a side note, I was successful at harvesting my first deer of the season and have filled up my freezer. Tempted to buy another freezer since I plan on harvesting one more prior to calling it quits for the year. I don't like to max my tag limit just to do so, but rather plan on what I need to fill me up for the year.

Good job Knobby, keep those beautiful animals off of the road and out of the front of cars. They don't make very good hood ornaments to say the least, lol. I am happy to hear that you are putting them to good use. Meat is so expensive that you did good getting one and getting another one is also a good idea.

If you lived closer, I'd offer you some venison, Luv Ducks! I agree, deer don't make good hood ornaments...one totaled our car a few years ago, but it lived, got up, looked at us, then took off.

Hubby and son have been out a few times, hunting. With no success. I got a deer last year, venison is so good

Indeed it is! There's a 10 point buck I've been eyeing. Almost got it last Monday, but it got spooked and took off before I could take a shot. I'm just so blessed that I can just go in my backyard to do my hunting and avoid others that I normally see on public lands.
