this is from Dorset in Ashtabula county,I have 24 barred rocks and 1 little red hen who is very old! She is left from my first batch of chicks 6 years ago.Is anyone else from around here?

Hi I am in Richland county we started off with 12 laying hens for my son to show he placed 7 out of the 12 in open class at the fair now we have ordered 22 more chicks for eggs and 25 to try for meat before he gets his market broilers.

Hey from Clinton County. I am getting back into chickens after 2 years without a flock. Should have 26 chicks (24 pullets 1 roo and 1 surprise) in Feb and hope to maintain a flock of around 15 or 16. Didnt get any Buckeyes but thought I d try some Barred Rocks, Delawares, New Hamps, and Jersey Giants. I had leghorns and rhode island reds for years though.

I've been lurking and thought I'd get myself registered and make my first post here.

Me,my husband and our little boy live in Southeastern OH,near Jackson.We had chickens a few years ago but moved and had to get rid of them.I'm wanting to try to hatch some out and am trying to get the right temp in a homemade incubator as we speak!Hope to learn alot(I've already learned a ton on here)and get to know some peoplee
