My sportsman is full, my egg orders are full, my friends all have buckeyes and my chickens are still laying like craaaaaaazy!!!! 24-30 fresh and fertile buckeye eggs a day!! So what's a buckeye to do? What is the ultimate goal when you own a flock of critically endangered breed of chicken? For me it is to perpetuate the breed, I think every flock in Ohio should have buckeyes so for a limited time only I will make a short list of people who live in the buckeye state and are participants of this lovely website. I will ship 12+ fertile pure bred buckeye eggs to anyone in Ohio who will hatch them out for $20. The shipping address must be Ohio and you must have more than 25 posts on this website. Let's take this breed off of the critically endangered list and let people know how amazing this breed is.

But, Dave, where would I put all those chickens?

Buckeyes have been on my wish list just for that reason -- endangered.

I may have to see if I can borrow an incubator and let you know about that offer.

I live in SW ohio, in Brown County. I don't have any chickens atm, but I am building my incubator soon and plan to get bantam eggs to hatch.

I am between Columbus and Clevland what started as 12 chickens for my son to show in fair has now just turned into 20 more egg layers and 30 for the freezer. He loves his chickens and there ADDICTING he is so proud when he makes a deposit in his savings from the egg money he gets hence more egg chickens. Now the hubby and I are talking turkey lol.

Hey fellow buckeyes! I live in West Central Ohio in Auglaize County. I have some hatchery quality silkies and golden sebrights here that are up for grabs. I am having someone come look at the silkies this Friday though. 3 (or 2) white silkie cockerels and 2 golden sebrights cockerels. Let me know if anyone is interested
