i think you should grow the flock and advertise, it seems to me the cheapest i can find them is around the $6 range for a day old. i dont know how they lay but that could be a descent income.

$6? I get $15 for day old to week old. I try to breed mine for show though. I rarely sell anything as a baby. I keep them union they are 16 or so weeks and pick out my keepers and let the rest go.

That being said, i got a new snowy drake this year and I'm not real happy worth his babies. Nice babies, long in the bill.

Thank you Brian. I will tell her. No, she did not sign anything. She lives in Morrow county. No regulations what so ever. That's why the property lines are messed up. No zoning, no nothing. No, I don't think she wants pigs and turkeys, great idea though. She has three dogs, cats and three rabbits. The one dog is a husky and does that screaming howl. She knows I have some roosters to rehome and thought a crowing rooster would be just irritating enough. I will probably end up with it back or gonna have to give her my only buckeye hen. I got five buckeyes in April and four turned out to be Roos.

another idea, if she has kids they need a go cart track between the properties LOL. oh, and have someone drill the muffler so its extra loud.

when she works outside she needs to put a radio out there, with the volume all the way up - that gets to them too. if the laws in morrow are the same as in pike, as long as she doesn't have it on after 10 the law can only ask her to turn it down. there is no penalty if she doesn't.

or she can just do like i have; start wearing coveralls and sitting on the front porch with a shotgun. i am now known as that crazy guy who will shoot you if you mess around on his property. ive even put up signs saying that i shoot first and ask questions later. when people fear your "craziness", they will leave you alone.
