My hen that normally lays in the kids doll house seen another chicken who is injured in there because I didn't get the chance too be her decided that she might lay the egg somewhere else! While I was getting feed she jumped out from under my dads lawn mower I got her back out then I heard her egg song back in the garage however I have no clue where to look since she was on shelves when I came in!

Lucky for me it looks like she sings before she lays =) I found her back in the house! Didn't want to have to explain to dad... hey you might find a egg sometime lol

hay Iwill be at the swap with 8 week old serama chicks. I hope there may be people still interested? They are beautiful !!!!

I need some advice. My DH has been cleaning the eyes with salt water, and putting a antibiotic on the eye. What else can we do? Most of the poor chicks look like this in the cage on the porch, they are away from everyone else and always has been. It looks like its only one eye like this and the other is open. I am not sure what this is, or what even caused it.

No homing pigeons here. I am not real sure about the chicks either. I know mine did something similar and we used vertricyn everyday in thier eyes until it cleared but again there was no pus or infection, just watered and watered until they got crusted shut.

I have an idea. Does anything think I could keep and small greenhouse, one that is 30in deep and 57 inches wide and 78 inches tall warm enough to brood 2 week old and up chicks through the winter? I have seen other people use them for brooders but I am just curious if it would work through the early part of winter. I might try it and see how warm I can keep it before putting chicks into it of course but I hate to waste the money on the greenhouse and it not work.

I candled my shipped eggs today too I didn't see anything but put them back and hoping to look again before lock down. Hope they turn out for you!

Thanks. I put all of mine back in too. I only took two out before because they were scrambled.
