! Thankfully the rain stopped here a couple of hours ago! But we really needed it!! It was a light rain when we let our flock out this morn and they ran out and got right to it, looking for bugs and such!! They were out for quit a while in the rain. I think they are all under shelter now though. Funny cause it isn't raining!

It has cooled off quite a bit though.

What did the vet say about Buck?

He has upper fixation of the patella. Its caused by muscle loss most commonly and is common in Miniature horses. He needs to be turned out to move a much as possible in order to try to help rebuild the muscle he needs to fix it. Gave him a selenium shot plus put him back on Purina mini horse feed and plus alfalfa pellets to help up his calcium and potassium level to help get his muscles firing again. It's a long term condition to fix but it can be done. He said it's odd it appears out of no where in a ten year old horse with no prior conditions. Once he gets back to where he can move he it's suppose to go on a regiment of uphill and down hill walking everyday to help build his hind end up.

Yup, i'm out towards south Salem/Bainbridge in the corn fields. Lol Just a couple miles outside of Greenfield.

Awww! I want one! I need to get some better quality silkies for my girls. They want to take them to the fair next year. I think they're outside playing in the rain as we speak. And they're white silkies. Biggest mistake of my life. Lol! Think I'm going to show the girls some black silkies and see if they'll go for that. I think the whites dig in the mud on purpose. They all have muddy mohawks right now.
