OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Was thinking of bringing some of our layer stock as well. Possibly our Buff Orps and Silver Penciled Rocks. Young Viking Chickens for sure and bringing our Silkies to their new home.

As long as you bring your Basque I'll be happy! Feels like I've been waiting on those guys forever!

I've got four 2 1/2 week-olds for you that are cute as a button and sturdy as little horses -- was hoping to have more but that hatch went HORRIBLY!! (my own fault -- I need to recalibrate my 'bator. Of course, that involves getting it empty TO recalibrate...) Plus a few more hatching today :)

I seem to be having the same trouble! My 1st hatch lately super... 2nd one I know I over heated due to turning the AC off, 3rd one... I didn't count good enough and everything was too early. this hatch 3 out of 14 I think its because I have them in a cooler and I can't keep the humitdity p because I keep the lid open so I can see in there. I have 3 more lock downs each tuesdays I keep adding more in. I have some Easter Eggers eggs out there right now that I really wish I had room for before they go bad! lol No one is taken the bait to sit for me

Styrofoam incubators -- I built a bunch before converting an old wine fridge -- I should break some of them back out of storage sometime! But what I did was went to the dollar store, bought a picture frame, cut a hole in the top of the bator and duct-taped the picture frame over so I could see. Maybe that'd help?

And in my case it needs a good recalibrate & clean -- it hasn't been emptied, shut down, and given a good scrubbing since March. I'm sure it needs one! Plus there's some stuff I have to tweak. Incubating is definitely an addiction!

Just a reminder....

Also....I have 4 beautiful mute swan cygnets that I need to find homes for...this is going to be so tough for me since I tend to spoil them rotten, but it is time for them to move on. I will only sell them as pairs; I have 2 males and 2 females. They were hatched in May. Spoiled, pinioned, dewormed, DNA sexed, vetted. Local pickup only, please (I'm in Cardington/Marengo area) Please PM me for more details...

Thanks for the info - will look into those areas. Going to have weather shock from Florida up to there! Won't miss the humidity but not used to snow and cold anymore! LOL

We have a lot of humidity in the summer, just FYI. It may not be as bad as interior Florida, but it's still pretty high.

! We haven't had too much snow in past years and not as cold either, but I'm sure to you it will be quite a change! I would love to go somewhere warm in the winter myself. I can see strapping my chicken coop on the back of the truck, with my flock sitting in and looking out the windows, feathers blowing!!

I couldn't leave them at home!!
I'm not familiar with the Englewood area either, but my SIL family is from West Milton. He likes it pretty well. They live here in sw ohio now though.

Our humidity here even now is at 95+ % lol its like trying to breathe under water! I can handle humid, I can handle heat... But I can't handle both at the same time lol
