Okay, I totally dont get silkie genetics I know white can "cover" an awful lot, color-wise, but how on earth did I cross a white roo and blue hen and get one partridge and one deep red chick??? (This was not, btw, an intentional cross -- they're just all in one pen together). Dang, I may have to keep the silkies just to see what pops out!

And my Gen2 serama pullet just laid her first egg today -- coolest part of all was I was standing right there when she dropped it! Heard a small "thunk" from the nesting box, looked, and... yup! First egg!

Got pips in 2 BBS AM bantams and the one little black silkie. e Day 21 started 7 hours ago. No action yet from the 4 showgirls, 2 cornish bantams and 13 quail. C'mon babies!!

And got pics of the newbies. Pardon the poop board LOL. I really need a better place to take photos..

That one's a magpie-colored Muscovy, but I do have magpies too! If you want to try sneaking it in sometime, I hear Muscovy gals are pretty silent. Seems true so far. Setup? Pfft. My 15 share a kiddy pool and a feed bucket, and sleep in the chicken coop.

Gahhh, I wanted some icies! Save me a couple or three? Please? Pretty please?!? My pullet hatched from eggs from thebirdguy. I'll get a pic of her tomorrow next to something for comparison. She is 20weeks old today. I might be exaggerating a little but she's quite a bit bigger than my SFH and they are older than her. She's as big as my coro Sussex pullet that hatched the same day.

The guy in Indiana fell thru so the Icies will be coming to Delaware. Bringing 6. Some nice colors too!
