OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

I'm not gonna complain if no one wants the silkies either. They are the one breed that is welcome to stay if no one wants them.

Is that blue/black silkie pair the Romeo and Juliet I brought up, by chance?

And is the mille Cochin bantam or LF? That whole list is might tempting!

This certainly IS an interesting area. I've heard all kinds of things out here. The first night I was out here I swear I heard a woman screaming all the while running down the road/driveway right in front of my house. Scared the living daylights out of me. Family said it was probably an owl or bobcat, but that ain't what I heard for sure. Thanks for the guesses on the noise, guys. My best guess would be a mountain lion, too. It sounded awfully deep and..manly? for one, but maybe they have a vocal range I don't know of. I hope it's gone for good, too, and I never have to hear that again. My blood runs cold thinking about it. I didn't get a lick of sleep last night for staying up on the couch with a flashlight trained at the horses lol. And I sure won't be walking back that way for a good long..year..

We also had a bobcat fora few nights several years ago. Again at the stone quarry. They do sound like a woman screaming! Makes your hair stand on end.

shaybaby- sorry i listened and cant hear the noise, but im thinking its bigfoot. LOL

minihorse, is this the pair of cochins you got from me? if so how much do you want for them?

Minihorse, I'd take all 3 if I could convince DH. That's the tricky part. I promised him all selling and no buying until next spring. I'll talk to him. I might need prayer.

OHhappychicks, yikes! Sounds like you live in an interesting area, too! I could do without all that carnivorous wildlife!

Brian, it starts 2 seconds in. You have to have the volume up really loud to hear it. The funny thing is, right before I went outside to let the ducks out before I heard it, kiddo said "Watch out for lions, mommy!" "Lions!? What lions?" "Oh, haha, silly me, I mean Bigfoot. Watch out for Bigfoot, mommy!" I didn't even know he'd ever even heard of Bigfoot. LOL. Good call, kid, good call.

For you that have raised silkies, is it common for them to have a little head shake tic? I just noticed this behavior. Three of the four are doing it. They are acting normal, eating and drinking. Is this something I should be concerned about?
