I live in a time town almost in the most northeast corner of ohio.. Madison... love And prefer the small town. I have 18 chickens and 7 ducks right now! Almost done building our coop and will be getting the girls outside today or tomorrow! Hoping to meet others from my area and every where!!!

This is getting worrying. Will hope they are able to keep it away from here, but I don't know if it is likely since all birds can carry it!

yes, I don't think there's any way to control it. You can't really vaccinate for it either. Only thing to do is watch how it tracks, and if it gets within a few hundred miles, it's time to bring the birds inside for a couple of months. I just hate the thought of that, since we're just coming into the warm weather, but if they get this bird flu, they will all die. Or, the State will cull them. If we can all keep each other advised of what's going on with it, it will keep everyone safer. I think.

Lots of people have no idea yet it's even a threat.

Thanks, i was so happy when i saw the barred ones. The 2 buffs and the white are bigger and puffier looking than the other colors.

I have 100+ assorted chicks due for hatch this weekend. I'm located near Cambridge, Oh if anyone is interested. My birds lay all different colors & hatches will be sorted by color of egg hatched from.
