OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Solstice eggs. Two of my Araucana pullets laid their first eggs today in their first snow storm! The brown egg is from an older Orp hen.

I can't wait to get my chickens. I keep looking at the spot where we are going to put the coop. Sigh......

Kristen - congrats!! Those are really pretty eggs! I can't wait until my EE start to lay... But by your dates I still have 14 weeks to go! Bummer.... Hurry up chickies! Lol

Thanks 12lilfeet! When these birds hatched I figured they'd be old enough to lay around Christmas, but I also thought that it would be the wrong time of year. I really wasn't expecting anything until February. And then two in one day!

Beautiful eggs and what a fun surprise! I think my LF girls are on Christmas break...I'm getting around 2-3 eggs/day from 7 ladies. My silkies are still on overtime...churning 'em out like clockwork!

Yeah, my older girls are slowing down too. I'm happy to let them have a break over the winter.
