OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

I'm also on 61! Okay...party time! C'mon Rick/Marengoite! I'm sensing a Morrow County social in the very near future!:weee
I'm just north of Fulton before you get to 529...west side of the road...white fence...

I have silkies and showgirls if you are ever interested in those sweet fluffy butts. Keep us posted on your progress!

I'm yet another Morrow County-ite. Welcome kfoster! Yes, we should all get together.

Stopped in Delaware TSC today and they're gearing up for chick days next week.

Now that we all know where you live, Katlyn, I think we should bring you pies. LOL. And I'm glad Kirsten chimed in too. I noticed this morning that Lyons had their "Farm Fresh Brown Eggs" sign out. You might want to pop in and chat with them about chicken-keeping. They've been doing it for years. And pick up a dozen eggs. Farm raised have a lot more flavor than the eggs from over at Croton that they carry in all the stores.

I checked on the biddies this morning and I've got possibly two Hamburgs sitting. No eggs yet this morning, but it looks like the girls are finally coming on now that we're starting to have daylight. I want to get my incubator finished this weekend and get it up and running. I was going to save back some Hamburg eggs for a test hatch. Keep me posted on your coop and we'll see if we can't get some laying hens in it for you so you can start right in harvesting your own eggs.

Sounds great! I got a few ideas online today for how I wanna build the coop. We are very excited and look forward to building this weekend! Hopefully the weather will hold out for us! I can't wait to bring some

Quote: Hi Blaine. Both my Scottie and Cairn are on the smaller side so they should top out around 18 lbs. if that.. The pup's Mom (Cairn) goes out regularly with me to check and feed our flock.and has done great even tho we've only had chickens since 10/12 so she wasn't raised with them. I definitely want to introduce the pups to the chickens (at least the nicer hens) once they are ready.
