Oh man, baby chick pics!!! Now I remember why I miss this thread...

everybody! I just wanted to shout hello 'cause it's been forever. I wish I was going to make it down south next weekend, but I don't see it happening. I will be at Delaware, though, and have been setting eggs right and left to have chicks to take

Hopefully tonight I can jump on for a bit and hang out -- it's been too long!

We just purchased a used coop, it was disgusting!!!! Had poop over 2" deep, under the straw covered with maggots!!!!!!!!! We cleaned it out, powerwashed it & then painted the entire inside with white paint, looks great.
I have a poop board filled with about 2" of PDZ under the roosts. Use a cat litter scoop to sift out the poop, add PDZ as needed. Coop never smells like poop, works great.

this us one off the bigger boys. You cab see his got some redness to it but otherwise is ok. I also noticed 2 of the boys have a couple tiny feathers on their feet/legs. It looks like a flap of skin in this picture but it's a feather. I'd say these guys might have some feather legged birds in the background.

how do you mark them after you punch?
