they are from the broody and they are olive Egger but they are going to be a light olive not a dark

i didnt mean to panic you guys on the DE and im trying to find out what i can. when i research, the insecticide and the food grade appear to the be same size, one is baked and one isnt the best i can tell.

i would use caution with it in bedding and when scattering it, wear a mask.

i think i have already said this, my days have ran together and my mind is kind of numb. but, there is some good from using it in the water. it seems to cause better feed conversions and better bone formations; and it is a natural wormer.

im anxious to see what way this goes with the regulations. in the meantime i really dont want to have to visit anyone and find out they have silicosis because i didnt say anything.

you guys are all capable of making your own decisions on using it, and keep in mind anything that can kill something is more than likely harmful to you in one way or another. it doesnt matter if we are talking DE, tobacco, 7 dust or permetherins/pyretherins.

Have we decided on a time for the swap? I think it was said a lot of posts back, but I can't remember. I'm getting pretty excited! I just wish I had something to bring. Maybe we can have another in the spring and I can bring some buckeyes or loveourbirds, some French copper marans!!

Well you punch the holes to identify, right? Do you just punch a certain breed, or if you are trying to identify more than 1 breed, how do you distinguish between breeds? I have never heard of this procedure and am not sure how it works.

AH, I understand now. I am punching mainly to identify black chicks that are split to chocolate. I punched the first pair of CCL I had simply because I have 2 different groups from 2 different people and this way I know where they came from by looking to see who has matching toe punches. I punched the inner right on the CCL pair I hatched from CJWaldon and the quad from mlaff I left alone. This way I know those two punched chicks are from the same breeder and are related. The black split to chocolate are punched right outer and I have it wrote down that it means black split to chocolate. The way most people are using the toe punches are to mark bloodlines. There is 16 different patterns you can use to mark them for bloodline purposes. Here is the chart that tells what the 16 different options are.

Very, very interesting! Who would have thought! Thank you for sharing and explaining it so well! So simple. That is if you don't loose the chart! I would loose it for sure! But I think it is a great system!

cant wait for the swap meet.i cant decide what all im bringin yet.i know for sure im bringing a baby pygmy goat named ruby she follows ur everywhere,im bringing 2 of my barred rock hens and the rooster.i might also bring two imprinted baby muscovys.so many animals to choose from i wish i had more cages and a bigger truck lol i would bring them alllll! im about to go take some pictures of my petting zoo and post them for you guys can see them
