OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Stupid red tail hawks! Outside letting everyone free range. Hear my little p rock hen screaming. I run around the corner. Ten feet above her is a hawk swooping down. Meanwhile my rooster Thor is speeding across yard to stop this. I scream it leaves. Figure it's gone oh no...comes right back. She gets her chicks in the bushes and comes back out to confront it. I grabbed an Apple from the tree to throw at it. Ughhh I am shaking. Needless to say free range time was cut short! She is a tough little hen

You know you want some rhodebars! I might have been a little wrong anyways about having an extra pair of salmon favorelles... I'm going to get the opinion of the breeder but I think the one I thought was my 3rd cockerel is a really dark colored pullet.

If you have a extra pullet, I might be able take one. I got a Rooster probably from the same place you got your eggs. I hatched out a pullet last week. I had 4 striped ones, and now I am down to 3, though my DH swore he didn't take one out so it must of ran away and well... I don't know which one is the pullet... the other two are my mutts seeing what they would make

That's fine. Looks like our Cincy trip might be cancelled, too. Boo. I'd run over and snatch some chicks from you in a flash, just can't see convincing DH it's worth it. Don't understand how he could resist..:p but he would.

I had 5 pullets sneezing and have been giving them denagard for 10 days now and as of yesterday only noticed 2 sneezing once in awhile. Denagard seems to be working.

Good to know! Thank you!
I assessed the damage thoroughly today and looks like it's 4 bantams with occasional sneezing and eyes that want to stay closed. Everyone else seems fine and dandy thankfully. Checked for eye worm and didn't see anything. Did a very thorough (probably overkill) treatment of VetRx on them and every bird in the coop, ducks included. Going to get some wormer and dose everyone tomorrow just in case. If it isn't looking better in a couple days, I'll look for some of the Denagard and Tylan.

Yikes! We have a LOT of hawks here, too (and countless other predators..the neighbor/cousins' stupid dogs and cats included). You can hardly look up or around without seeing one. Until we get our huge covered run finished, free range time is very limited and very monitored.. Glad all yours lived to tell the tale!

Ok, rhodebar experts. This chick confuses me. It's dark like the other pullets but has the white dot. Cockerel?
