Just a reminder.....next weekend Oct. 5th and 6th is the poultry show in Lucasville.

that is the show, and not the swap- but you can buy some great chickens at the show.  i wanted to try and show something at that show, but not going to have time - i am going to the swap on friday though. gotta get rid of some of these puppies LOL.  we still have 9.

Excited for both! I'm sure the prices are steeper at the show, though.. Probably just look around there.
Oh the puppies! :love Remind me not to visit your setup. LOL.

The swap or trader days is the following weekend. Oct. 10-12. Not sure if there is anything going on during the poultry show the 5th and 6th

Hi all! I just joined. I'm near Delaware, so I'm hoping I can come browse. No chickens (or coop) yet, but I want to learn all I can before I start with chickens.

WELCOME ABOARD THE CHICKEN ADDICTION TRAIN!!! LOL!
Marengo area here - so howdy neighbor!

Sooooooo......everyone show your chickens on Sat then haul 'em all up to Delaware to sell 'em on Sunday! I wish I had realized that Saturday was the show in Lucasville...I would have taken a few birds. Too late to post enter? (sorry...I'm only familiar with horseshows...)

I've been talking to the peeps in the area and trying to get an idea of what they are hoping to find at the Delaware swap. So far:

Marans
Olive Eggers
Brahmas
Silkies (I'll have some of those!)
Showgirls (I have one little chick to bring)
Easter Eggers
Seramas
kittens and puppies

Load up the minivans! I'm just excited to meet some BYC peeps!

Hello from Seneca County, a little south of Toledo! First year for chickens and will never be without them again! Having great success with my RSL birds, will never get Australorps again however. Egg eaters. Unpleasant birds, skittish. My RIRs are just beginning to lay, nice birds. I also haveEEs, they are not laying yet and are also skittish.
