OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

I'm planning on it. My worst fear is that it's the day after payday, so....
Beats the day before payday, walking around with nothing but your keys in your pocket.

By the way, any newbies going, pack a lunch, or eat before you get there. The food service there a bit pricey, save your money for birds/supplies. I bring a cooler anyway to bring vacines home in.

isn't moving hectic? i still havent figure out how to move our flock. i have thought about building a big pen for the hens and just keeping the roosters seperate, but just to pen the roosters is around 70 cages i need.

why couldn't i be addicted to something small and non living, like spools of thread? that would be much easier LOL.

Yeah! and no feed bills!!

I'm so upset my neighbors dog got one of our chickens yesterday when I was at work. She tore her up really bad. :hit she is definately not going to make it. This is my first one that has gotten attacked by a dog. I just made her as comfortable as possible but it is so upsetting! I have been crying ever since I came home yesterday. :hit

Hey Peeps! Anyone planning on going to Ohio Nationals at the State Fairgrounds next weekend????

I think I may wait until next year. It sounds like so much fun!!! I've never been, but I know how little resistance I have, and I've promised DH and myself that I'm done until at least next spring. I'm really trying hard to stick with that promise!!

is outside right now reconstructing our hoop house, so we can put the silkies I bought from you in there for the winter. It will become our grow out pen. Hopefully by next summer we will have another building to put them in permanently. If we do that, I will have 3 chicken coops!! That's a lot to maintain! But we will have all winter to think about it! Let us know how it goes and what treasures everyone bought!!

Oh so sorry!

I know how you feel. We had a dog (long story) we inherited, and he would slip his chain and he killed 5-6 of our birds at different times. DH finally had to put him down.

If there is anyone around that can put her down for you, it would be wise. My neighbor had to for me one day after the dog got loose and attacked one of the flock. We were at work. He said she was pretty bad. I wouldn't want her to lay and suffer. I know its sad.
