I see this thread has been going on a few years, but I'm new both to this forum and to raising chickens so I'm saying hi and introducing myself. I am currently making my plans to build a coop and run, and I've placed my order with Myer Hatchery for 1 each: Golden Laced Wyandotte, Speckled Sussex, Barred Rock and Golden Buff (which I have recently been seeing negative comments about here, I wonder if I should change this to something else?)

If anyone here lives in Cleveland Heights I'd love to correspond and hear about your experiences.

I'm in Columbus but I'm from Cleveland area. I get my chicks from Meyer- you will not be disappointed. Their chicks are wonderful! Have fun!

You bet, I most certainly will ! I can't wait to see them, but they won't arrive until mid-April. It gives me plenty of time to finalize my coop design and drive my wife crazy with my constant talk about chickens.
