that's a cochin in the first pic, is it standard or bantam?

I have no idea. I bought a dozen eggs from a breeder (Supposedly 4 different breeds) and the one this hatched from was marked as an English Orpington! I was wondering why it had feathered feet when the other one that hatched didn't. Now I know!

lol, yep that's a blue cochin. I've got black and barred standard cochins about the same age and they look the same.

I'm pretty week done hatching everything but call duck eggs for the year. If anyone wants chocolate/black orp eggs(there is a Mille fluer cochin hen and a black cochin hen in this pen so eggs from them also), ancona duck eggs, porcelain d'uncle eggs just let me know. I'm sell reasonable price.

Hello?? Anyone left in Ohio???? well my six evil pecking wenches are gone.My remaining 4 one yr. olds are with the 10 week olds and no pecked feathers or jumping on backs!!! This has calmed all of then removing the 6 bullies. a friend traded us 6 he had put in freezer for our 6 that ate laying. They are still going to freezer camp.

Good to hear cabinchicky! Glad things are getting back to normal for you! Unfortunately, I am now in a messed up situation. I have 3 pekins and 2 of what TSC told us were rouens.(They aren't and I have no clue what they are.) I have been trying for a month now to get them together and the pekins won't have it. They run the other two down and try to kill them. I love the pekins and would like to give them to someone with a large farm, but I don't know anyone around me. They were hand raised and friendly, just not to the smaller ducks.

Hey everyone thought I would share my babies that hatched from my broody! So far 2 black australorps and 2 buff orps out of 6 eggs.

I couldn't get a pic of the buffs I'll have to try tomorrow!
