Thank you both! I have 6 chicks in my outdoor coop about 8 weeks old. I just hatched one lonely Lav Orp egg out of 12 so I'm trying to make arrangements to get her some friends. She just hatched last night!

We're 45 minutes north of Columbus. I used to have a Lavender Orpington pullet. She was fantastic!

I have three red sex links that are 8 wks old and 3 white silkie bantams (not pure bred) that are 9 wks old. We got them from TSC. I just hatched the Lav Orp last night and went and bought her 2 Cornish rocks to keep her company for a few weeks. I also just ordered some Lav Orp and Lav Ameraucana eggs to hatch. My goal is to have 2 sex links, 2 Lav Orp, and 2 Lav Ameraucana. The rest are going to my parents' farm. I can only have so many in my neighborhood and wanted a decent variety.
