OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Drove 3.5 hours one way to pick up hatching eggs. Yes I know, crazy woman. Down 75 to Cincinnati and over to Indiana and back. Currently have 18 JG eggs in the bator. Blacks, blues and splash. No chicks yet in coop think only 2 should hatch, dang it. Quail are laying and the guinea hen is getting on my nerves! She freaks out if I go out there with my hood up on my sweatshirt! Goofy girl! Mottled Cochin chicks are getting feathered out well and they are so friendly!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Anyone looking for a Buttercup rooster in the Cincinnati area is welcome to come get mine. He is ~ 4 weeks old and strutting his stuff! I am keeping the girl that hatched out with him.

Random question. I clean my coop weekly and every time have been noticing a large amount of feathers and fluff in the bedding. I mean a LARGE amount, in the run too. My ISA's are about 3 months old, should they be losing this many feathers? None of them look patchy or like they are missing any, maybe I'm just over reacting...

Not crazy at all. I drove 3 hrs to sell some Swedish Flower Hen Chicks & some Silver Ameraucana chicks. Picked up a gorgeous Splash Silverudd's Blue rooster.

findlaychickens the 3 month molt is considered their juvenile molt. Totally normal.
