OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Hi all. I just started my very first backyard flock here in Germantown. That's just west of Dayton. I have 8 pullets that are about 6 weeks old. (keeping an eye on 2 of them as I suspect they may be cockerels). I'm not certain if there is any local law about roosters, but we want to be good neighbors. I went with a variety of breeds: Golden Laced Wyandotte, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Rhode Island Red, Buff Orpington, Black Australorp, Barred Rock, Light Brahma and a Dark Brahma. They are great girls! The Light Brahma and the Silver Laced Wyandotte are the two that I'm concerned about due to their redder combs. We are having a lot of fun with them though and hope they'll love hanging out with us.
What pretty birds!

I'm in Northern Ohio and I'm looking for someone who breeds Silkies or Houdans
Not sure in Ohio where you're located but there is a place in Morrow. Small farm that has show breeder and heritage stock poultry including silkies. Hester's family farm. They also have true amercauna and French marans, not sure what else. That may be a bit far to travel but they do ship, just not sure of minimum orders n such. They do have webpage

My babies are all satisfied today, eventhough, the weather was yucky and we stayed in..They had peas and greens with a few bites of banana to help make up for missing outdoor time. They loved it!
