What breeds did you end up with? Most of the ones that I got are Cochins. But there is a super tiny porcelain d'uccle and a OEGB I believe. I'm hoping for all girls in the younger group.

What kind of predators leave almost no trace? On more than one occasion I've had full grown birds just up and disappear. No feathers scattered, no scat, or foot prints. Sometimes I even check trees and around the yards around us. And other times I find things left behind that make little sense.

Red tailed hawks, great horned owls and possibly a human neighbor???. If they're accessible I've seen raccoons carry them off to a neighbors or my barn leaving behind only a few feathers. Same with cats

Y'all know how I wanted to build a bigger coop. I fell in love with the "saltbox Amish style". Snagging one from a local person who just wants it gone for a killer deal! I go pick her up Saturday! Tons more room and more room for some more chickens!
