Hello, from a small country town in NE Ohio, close to Hartville I’m Chaunté.

My husband, Zach, and I are brand new to chickens. We dove in head first completely unplanned, although we’d been discussing it since last year. Between his handyman skills and my undying love for animals, we’re doing a decent job winging it (At least I crack myself up!) All I can say is thank the Lord and heaven above for the internet! Haha

I’m so excited “ meet” all of you, and continue absorbing all things “chicken”! (I literally knew NOTHING when we carried that little box of squeaky peeps home!)

Can we get some decent weather already?! Snow this weekend?!?!

Anybody in Ohio breed silkies? More show quality than pet and not hatchery? Found some out of state but between price of birds and shipping I’m not wanting to pay the huge shipping costs...please let me know if you or anyone you know breeds them!! Same for D’Uccles both porcelain and regular color but I’d show quality..thanks for any help!!
