OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

There were 80+ horses lost. Only three survived, they broke loose of cross ties. All the staff housing was also in the barn, but only one person was injured.
The yearlings and other young ones were apparently out to pasture.
For reference, I got my information through an indirect web of contacts. I don't know how much of this will actually make it into the news, or if it is %100 accurate, but it's more detail than you'll find in a news search.
There is already a fundraiser in place for them, and it has raised over $100k!

It looks like there were two businesses operating out of that barn. The man who was operating the second, Priest Performance Horses, went in to try to save the horses and suffered serious burns. There are separate fundraisers for the two businesses.

What I heard was at some point Eric Priest heard an explosion while walking down the alley. He ended up with his cap burned to his head.
There was some other complicated thing about it being within "Rittenhour Equine Center". Not sure how that all connects.

Welcome to BYC. I live 18 miles East of Columbus myself and currently have 20 ducks. This site has a boat load of information about Poultry and I love being able to ask questions and chat with others about their birds.
Thanks. I live close to the Ohio River. Pittsburgh is the closest big city to me. Actually, I can see Pennsylvania and West Virginia out of my office window at work.
