OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

It is with sadness that we need to rehome our beloved Light Brahma, Link (formerly Lily). He was in the sexed pullet bin, but it's looking like this is a cockerel! He's an absolutely beautiful bird, and so far has been very friendly and a good companion to the pullet he grew up with. Yet, he is also bold enough to occasionally hang out and eat with the rest of the flock, which already seems to respect him.

Brahmas are great winter layers, so he would be a great addition to a flock for breeding hens that are a little more winter hardy.

He is about 9 weeks old.

Please message me or comment here if you are interested. We live in the city of Cleveland but are willing to drive him a little bit further out if it means he has a good home. I absolutely love this bird!

Hello, fellow Ohioans! I am just reposting this again this week in case anyone didn't see it.

I have a beautiful Light Brahma cockerel named Link who is up for rehoming. I am sad to give him up but we are in the city of Cleveland and cannot have roosters.

Please message me if you are interested in adopting this handsome guy! :) So far, he is getting along great with all the ladies.

See quoted post in this message for info and photos. I am happy to send you more photos and info!

How's it going with finding someone to take in your rooster? BTW, I named one of my latest hatchings, Henrietta. The group turns 8 weeks old this week and I am just getting ready to integrate them into the flock outside.

Unfortunately we haven't found anyone yet. :( He is listed on several sites. Idk why someone wouldn't want him. Every day we go out there we are in awe of how handsome he is becoming! I so wish I could keep him.

And that's so cool about Henrietta! My username actually comes from the name of my first hen. My nephew named her "Henrietta Pizza Nolan", which I found hilarious. We shortened it to just Henrietta, and later Etta. She was one of the funniest hens ever! I hope your Henrietta is in the same spirit. :)

I'd love to see some pictures of the hatch!

Once again, my offer stands. I just want to make sure he lives out his full life. Yeah, Henrietta is developing a nice persona. She is the first to welcome me when I go feed and water them, and she always jumps on my arm to perch..which reminded me of Ursula...hence, me naming her Henrietta. LOL

Omg that is too funny! 😂

And thank you. I appreciate that. I will continue to try to find a home for Link, but unfortunately once he begins to crow, he will have to leave. It's close quarters here in Cleveland! I will keep you updated. Thanks so much!

Hi everyone!!! I raise chickens in Ohio too, more specifically in the farmlands of Ross. I hope nobody minds, I'm posting a link to my thread here. BYC seems to have been the nicest and most welcoming place for me to talk about my chickens.
I'm moving out into the city and have to re-home my chickens within the next month. If you're interested, please shoot me a message here or see where to contact me in the link above. :)
Thank you all, help is very much appreciated <3
