My mom lives in Strongsville. She says we get her house when she moves, and lol I am already planning for a future secret flock on her back porch!

I found a few things about Strongsville, hope you both see this.

http://www.strongsville.org/content/animal_ordinances.asp

when I looked through the zoning under poultry or livestock it said See Animals, and the only mention I could find was under 618.13 NUISANCE CONDITIONS PROHIBITED, wich seems pretty broad. That's not great either because if you get a lot of neighbor complaints, they can say it's a nuisance.

Here's the whole list of regs, maybe you can find something different. http://www.conwaygreene.com/Strongsville/lpext.dll?f=templates&fn=main-h.htm&2.0

and
or anyone else who want's to look, here's a great source.... just hard to drill down through, well, not HARD exactly, just time consuming. http://www.whpgs.org/f.htm

i live in bethesda ohio belmont county and just started raising chicken in easter when they had them at the feedmill i got 6 and a stray cat (which i thought was the least of my worries cuz i had 4dogs at the time) got in and killed all but 1 hen so i ended up getting a rooster from amish in the area it was the 1st time i seen a chicken besides a rir or comet it was a barred rock wich i just thought was the coolest thing ever and we needed more then 1 hen to supply eggs to a family of three
so my dad went out and got 2chickens that had hens on the side he got home and i looked at them and saide "you know those are roosters right" he replied "no there not the cage saide hens" and a week later they started crowing

Welcome silkydragon!!! I'm in Harrison County, so not too far from you!

Congrats on your first chickens! (That's how it starts! I started out with Buff Orps and Speckled Sussex.....it's a disorder.....they're worse than potato chips! because you can't stop at fifty!)

A lot of Bucks it seems. I'm in Springfield, and I must say that I'm surprised how many of us there are in this area. Good to know I'm not the only one around here that thinks this is a good idea..
