Born and raised near Pataskala in SW Licking County. Always had chickens and geese in 4-H and FFA. I even took a job somewhat in the poultry industry now only as a Federal Inspector. Currently living in Fredericksburg, Virginia but will get back to Ohio someday. I am a Buckeye though always have been always will be. Its great to see so many Buckeyes on this site.

Aloha, I live in Dalzell, Ohio..20 miles NE of Marietta. I've fourty plus, different types of chickens. I'll have to research what types I have presently. A fox and/or coyotee came for an uninvited lunch on various occasions decreasing my flock down to 3 or 4. Bummer! So I got some more chicks from a lady in Lewisburg, OH and closed in a bldg with wire mesh, so chickens would be protected. The chickens have gone from 18 eggs a day to 3-4 a day...maybe because its hot. Anyway I love to watch the antics when the chickies are socializing...but the roosters can be a bit mean. Anyway, you all have a good one...off to chicken dreamland. Joe

Im new to this, but I am in New Carlisle. It's close to Springfield, Huber Heights, Tipp City, Dayton..
