OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Hello neighbors from Ohio..If anyone has a young rooster that you wouldn't mind selling please contact me. I currently have 12 amber link hens which are just 2 months old, and they need a rooster to keep em safe and sound :) I am looking for something close in age to the hens, or at least under 6 months old. I live close to Bellefontaine. I would like a Plymouth Rock, a Rhode Island, or something close in genetics to the hens i have. Thank you for replying.

Hello you live down the road from me. Over here in West Salem.

Sometimes the best way to do things stephensc, I did the same thing here and went from wanting 12 - 20 chickens to ordering 50... JUMP!

I bought 6 red sex links and 2 bantam chicks, and 2 days later bought 15 barred rocks :) to me, that was a rather large jump. I love it though! Andd, Im going to order some silver laced wyandottes and silkies from a hatchery in june. :)

That is a great jump! I have 6 buckeyes and 1 (rescued) white rock right now, 5 weeks old, have 20 cornish cross, 3 buff orphingtons, 3 Colombian wyandotte, 3 RIR, 3 barred rock, and 1 surprise coming April 30, and 2EEs, 3 Favorelle, 3 light brahma, 3 more buckeyes and 1 more surprise coming June 4th... I am gonna be up to my eyeballs in chickens! I am so excited though, and sure can't wait till I finish the coops and runs... my arms hurt from all of the post hole digging!!

Edited after using the calculator...
Dang... 52... (lol)

I wish I had enough room for that many! I would have to build a bigger coop though. Chickens are extremely addicting! Well worth it too! I've been ripping old rotted walls off the shed, digging out (what I call) attack weeds from a portion of the yard that hasn't been mowed in about 7 years. Tomorrow my mom and I have the job to cut all the wood and put the walls back on the shed. Thursday i'll be getting my fencing, so lots of work to be done. (And I forgot to mention, the inside of the coop is still completely empty! Need to get the design ready!) But at least it gives me something to do! :)
