Ohio National....Who's all going?

The best thing to do is arrange to buy from the breeder before the show. In my experience the best birds are already sold before Friday. Other than that get there when the doors open on Friday.

I am hoping to be able to go to the National on Friday afternoon; otherwise I'll be there Saturday morning and am looking for a pair of Sumatras, Cubalayas or Yokohamas. Does anyone know of any breeders that'll be there???

Thanks for the info. I'd love to pre-arrange but struggling finding anyone with either GL Cochins or Wyandottes (standard size). Anyone know anyone with them that I can contact beforehand? I don't need exhibition quality as I don't plan on showing but want healthy birds that are basically correct in type and color.

There is a list of breeders that advertise on the Ohio National Website:
http://www.ohionational.org/breeders.html
It looks like there is a GL Wyandotte breeder near the end.

The best thing to do is go the the breeds website and look for a breeder list, sometimes you will have to join the club to get the list--or you can get poultry press and find some breeders that way.

Brody's Broodello :

Ok just went out & took some pics in the barn. Color dosen't come out as bright in there, stupid flash washes it out, but you can get the gist.
Salmon is just like the Salmon Faverolle color, just in Silkie feathers. Those who saw my guy in Ohio at Lucasville really liked it.

The only difference is that Silkies have the crest that has the deap red with straw color on the tips, and not completely straw like the faverolles.

BB, is this guy kind of a Faverolle color?

I'm thinking about selling him and 'partridge' doesn't seem an apt description....

This is my Silkie (Calvin)
I thought he was a tortoiseshell color; but maybe he is a salmon. It was very bright and the sun faded out his neck feathers, they are straw colored and he has white wing patches. He is quite lovely; thought the judges weren't impressed at the county fair. He got A LOT of attention in the barn as everybody stopped to admire him. He is also VERY cuddly and a sweetheart.
Susan

I don't know if the picture will load; but I'll give it a try.
