Ohio National....Who's all going?

I will be there with cochins, silkies and maybe some polish bantams. I also have some bourbon red turkeys, several different colors of peafowl, white mandarin and call ducks. If anybody needs anything I would be glad to bring it.

Awesome! Hey, do you have another of those hats for me? I want to take a picture of myself in it and make it into a poster for my girls. They LOVE when I start talking about my chickens!! (That would be sarcasm) They are regularly horrified by me, especially when I would pick my youngest up from HS with a "Got Chickens" sticker on my truck and a BYC magnet on the tailgate. I made it even worse when I got license plates that say "GTCHKNS." Ha ha, every time they think I can't be more embarrassing! I tell them I take pride in my work! I will write when it gets closer and tell you what I'll be wearing. I'll PM you my phone #.​

there is another Ohio National thread (https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=413509) and then one on what people are bringing to sell or looking for here https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=415007 the first thread mentions a BYC table, I thought I had read somewhere they'll have some name tags too but maybe not. If I happen to remember when I'm at the store next I'll grab a pack to 'donate'. I know a couple years ago at a swap I really wished we all had nametags. Heck if I have some time I might even try to make some custom tags!

Looking forward to meeting all the BYC peeps and drooling over all the pretty birds!​

Hey Sharon...great minds think alike, we must have been posting at the same time!

I used to have games but just rid of them this past summer, we are in NE Ohio (bulls eye of the snowbelt) and they did just fine!

good luck finding some! You might want to try posting on the other thread where people are listing what they have/need. I included the link in my other post.

I had posted on the other thread that I'll be bringing a few Black Ameraucana birds (around 12 weeks) but I also have a Mille Flur roo that is sweet as can be I'd love to find a good home for. We lost him mate last year and have tried several times to find him more girls but are always deterred! In the last week a hawk has taken out the last three pulet I had. So, I've pretty much given up now and would just like to find him a good home. if anyone is looking just PM me, I can send over some pics, etc.

I'm looking for Blue or splash ameraucana birds or eggs if anyone is bringing or knows anyone.

I know last year I met a few people whom I had exchanged emails and birds from eggbid but there are so many people there I am sure I walked right by people who I would loved to have met. I don't see why they don't have name tags for all the exhibitors too.

We keep modern game bantams here in Iowa. They can take quite abit of cold, but we had a week long stretch with really cold wet air weather and took some special precautions. They really need to be draft free and have a place to roost where they aren't on bare wood (we wrapped their 2"x4" roost in an old wool sweater and they liked it). If I was going to keep them in an unheated coop, I would make a roosting box for them this year.

There will be quite a few MGB for sale at Ohio. See you there!
