Know if anybody there will have some phoeinx hens from decent lines? I unexpectedly lost one the other day. No unusual behavior-still don't understand why. But anyway even if they are cull hens so long as they are healthy I am looking to buy one or two.
Can't wait to go! I hear it will be twice as big cause' of the Bantam meet.

I kiss and hug all my birds, too - I just don't do it in front of the "old guys" at the show. Ask my roo today how embarrassed he was to have the trick-or-treaters watch me kiss and hug him.

Exactly! My favorite hen, who passed away this spring, used to go around and give everyone a peck once I put her down. It was like she wanted to make sure that, although she was forced to put up with such indignities, she was still the head hen!
