I think our DH's would get along very well! LOL But he made a bet and he lost fair and square. My DH bet me 2 polish hens that Disneyland only did fireworks at Christmastime. Silly bet, since he knows that I am the Disneyland Queen. But still he made the bet, I was right and as soon as I find those polish he's payin' up!

on the subject of degrees and what you know... I'm a PhD in Botany and a few months ago I was at a talk in the Zoology department about feeding strategies of urban versus rural birds. The only thing I know about birds is what I've learned from my chickens (and I've only had them for a year). The findings of the study showed that urban nesting birds forage for longer hours than rural birds each day. So I asked (naively) if urban birds were influenced by light contamination, since there is a lot more outdoor light in urban settings than rural settings. I explained that when I have my outdoor light on, my chickens come out of the coop at night towards the light. But if there is no light in my backyard, I can't get them to come out for anything.
Low and behold, the bird people had never thought of this, and it has spurred new research projects.
...All this to say that you learn way more from you chickens then you do in a classroom.

My dh only bet with me just once. He lost 300.00. He paid up. A bet is a bet. Had HE won he would have made me pay and then he would have bragged to our friends.

Your dh needs to pay up!!

I agree, let it go. He admitted he was wrong. Life is too short to let it continue to get to you. I've been married 35+ years and there are some things you can either keep carrying around and let it bother you , or let it go and go on with life.
