It's so much fun to visit this thread, just to see the variety! I think you might be a bit like me Germaine....ya can't have just one breed, can ya!!??

And why should we? Life is too short to place limits on breed numbers!

Keep up the good work. You're entire flock look so healthy and happy!

Thanks everybody! No I can't have just one or even some. My chickens make me smile on the gloomiest day. I could get lost in the coop for hours and no one would look because I stay out there for hours all the time. LOL

I just like to look at them and talk to them and watch them watch me! Today Ms. Rock (white rock) got yelled at a million times for trying to eat the logo off my muck boots. She just doesn't listen to a word I say!!!

Jubaby--I need to put pics of our babies on there. They are growing! I weighed them and each one gained .3 oz except one and that one gained .6 and it looks it too! So what are we calling them? I know we don't know for certain if they are Ameracaunas until after the DNA testing or the test breeding. But I hate to not have a name for them.

One of these days you are going to see Bamachicken's Orps on here. I am having the most difficult time not candleing them. It is agony.

And I just ordered Speckled Sussex. Oh Stars!!!! I love the spots. Gosh there are lots of others that need to go in, but in time.

Ooooh!!! So that's what a bonafide EE chick looks like! I had two blue/green eggs hatch in my incubator last week, but as luck would have it, they hatched in the middle of the night along with two or three others. I never got to see for sure who was who and which was which! And since the whole lot of them are strictly mutts, it's hard to say at this point with any certainty. That narrows things down considerably! Thanks for posting pics of the EE's Germaine!

**wanders off to take another look at my own chicks and do a comparison** Oh I soooo hope that's them!

Serrin, EE's can look like alot of different colors, honestly these are very different. Look for ones that have stripes down their backs Those are probably your EE's!
