Ok Not a chicken but a bird..Dont know where to post...

Does anyone know what kind of bird this is? It fell from a nest in the rafters in my barn. Cant get it back to the nest but i know how to care for it so it will be ok. The birds that usally nest in the barn are Mourning Doves, Starlings, And Yellow Beak Magpies. But it could be something else. Any ideas?? The feathers coming in are Brown. They will cange tho when it gets its adult feathers. Legs are black

after quite a bit of googling.. I'm not sure what that is. Blackbird chick maybe?? Very interesting wedged shaped head. Best bet would be to put it on an elevated place that's safe that the parents can take care of it. I put a cardboard box with a 'fake nest' in it up on the top of a ladder (secured with alot of duct tape and the bottom was roped to a few cinder blocks) and use that as a makeshift nest for not one... but SEVEN baby robins that all fell out of two nests thanks to our stupid window washer my parents hired. My parents told the guy to leave the nests alone and not to wash those windows... but he apparently hates birds and purposefully knocked the nests down. The parents DID come back and take care of the babies in the fake nest... all 4 parents flew in and out feeding the babies. It was strange seeing so many parent birds. The runts didn't do so well though so we eventually pulled the strongest birds and hand fed them and let the parents keep the runts. All babies survived in the end.. shocking huh?! So much for the whole "they wont come back if they smell humans" theory!

I think Starling. I typed in Starling Baby to Google and the babies look just like your baby bird you found.

lol its a cute little bird. Does look funny. I cant make a fake nest or the barn cats will get to it. Ive raised many birds soo he will be ok. When hes eating on is own ill release him where i found him. Ill take more pics of him today so u guys can see what he looks like. I belive he is a starling also

Sure looks like a Starling to me and a healthy little one at that

Good thing for that little baby that you know how to raise him. Our local bird rescue won't take Starlings because they are non native.
