Ok NOW we have an issue

Because its fun to threaten to eat the cockatoo, or to pet a chicken and watch him get mad because he's not the one getting the attention. Wrapping a bird in a sheet of bread and pretending to eat it builds character for them !! The drama is half the fun, the bird LOVES it, it's all attention for him. Im just sharing some of the games I play with him, sorry if the drama caused you any melted wings or a speed dial to the therapist.

it is a big deal when they get run over or caught by the neighbors pit bull because they got under the fence.

For what its worth, Paco watches me cook all the time, he knows how the kitchen tools work, at times the trouble is keeping him on his cage and NOT helping or wanting a taste of what's on the stove. You want instant attention, start cleaning fish, or cleaning and prepping veggies, that bird will be at your feet, wanting to climb up your leg, up your arm and 'help out' in about a minute or two tops.

I had to gather and place *big* rocks around the perimeter of my run for this reason. It's made of PVC coated chicken wire, I don't have an apron. It's not really predator proof, and only gets used by the chickens in the winter. When spring came around I used it for my extra male quail, one day they were just gone. I found the digging hole and placed the stones all around the outside. Maybe that would work for you as well.

So what did the police do? Pay for new flowers, spank the chickens? What would a charge even be? vandalism? That's kind of extreme, and rather Karenish but well, we know there are karens everywhere !

Kind of reminds me of the movie, summer vacation with the Bumuses !
No, I can't even remember it too well. It was a few years ago.
I was a naughty little lad back then and I had made a large mud ball and thrown it at their house wall because I had got so pissed off with them so yeh, the hens increased their anger levels all the more and caused them to call the cops.
The cops didn't really have much to say to be honest. They left me alone because I was a youngster.
