What kind of comb does the black one have?
Here is an older close up of her comb and an olde picture of both.

The only thing is that the White one is starting to turn red a little in “her” comb and I don’t think “she” is of laying age yet.
Waddles turn red before the comb ever starts to get bigger. My girls vary by individual but usually start to pink up in the comb around the 12+ week mark. She still has no waddles and no comb. Just look at the buff behind her for comparison. Also, it usually pinks up a good 4 weeks before the onset of laying in my experience.

Regarding the black... will wait for a good pic, I know how hard it is to get them. Yes, it should be bearded... but it's possible other birds have plucked the beard out or that the genetics wasn't great... or like you say maybe it isn't an actual Ameraucana.

A lot of my first gen crosses still end up bearded and pea comb, as they are the dominant traits. So maybe it was one of the crosses mistaken for a pure. It can be hard sometimes at hatch to discern.

The pea combs on my boys are always evident by about 8-10 weeks old and on my crosses closer to 4. I do feel fairly confident we are looking at a female. Beautiful birds to. :love

Red at that age could just mean dominant pullet,I have had hens with little to no comb and the spots where combs and waddles should be forming are dark cherry red, usually that is the dominant pullet.
