Don't you think it rather spooky, that everyone who has visited Glencoe, gets the same impression........thoughts please.....

maybe it could be, I don't feel that way, I am amazed that so many people have felt the same way. I expected to feel wierd, because I know the story and feel I have a connection to the place, so I am shocked that so many others get the same feeling but it doesn't bother me. But I am not bothered by those things generally. itis not the dead that can hurt us, it is the living we have to take care of. lol...

Hubby loves Rob Roy and I love Braveheart and we do some friendly sparring about which movie or character is better!

I never been to Scotland but when I do, I am certain it would be a royal treat to see all those sights! Hubby has been there and wants to go back there again. And research my family tree back to Paisley Scotland which is my maiden name (spelled differently but still the same ancestor of Paisley). I have some family stores about Paisley but its not shown up to be accurate.

Where are nice out of the way places to stay since I hate staying in big hotels, the wife and I prefer bread and breakfast type places.

hmm, how do you know the dead can't hurt us? I know the living can do bodily harm, what's to say that the other side can't do harm? Even psychologically. After studying many paranormal issues.... I wonder. Especially when people from all over can 'feel' something. We lose so much of our 'touch' to become regular people that we forget how to really feel. Just my thinking out loud....

These are probably fighting words, but I most closely identify with my French heritage than any other nationality. My ancestors were Irish, Scottish, Danish, English, Canadian (hence the Scottish & French), and German. My dad's grandparents spoke French in the home. My dad's father grew up speaking French, my dad heard it but never learned it. I learned French, speak it fluently, and feel like it's my most tangible link to my past.

Plus, I just love French food & wine. LOL

I wish you were neighbors with my nephew. He won a national contest with his Scottish outift, including a kilt.
