Too funny!

Mom's family is part Yaquis from AZ, part Welsh. She likes to say 1/2 the family came from over-seas and the other half was there to meet 'em!

momofdrew,

Yes you are so right, that is exactly the feeling I had there.

I really love the place as bleak as it is.

I'm a "Hale" (english name) but we came from Edinburgh. So we adopted the Edinburgh District Tartan. I'm also in the Navy so I have that one to fall back on. I wear my kilt often.

I'm looking into the utilikilt but 180.00 is a bit steep to make a fashon statement.
Any sewing Godess out there up for a challenge?

I'm not Scottish (I'm Norwegian, German, and a bit of Irish) But I have to say there is nothing that melts my heart like the sound of a man who is Scottish

One of my favorite movies is Rob Roy with Liam Neeson. Just to hear him talk and run around in his Kilt

(sorry for the off topic)

I guess i am lucky that I'm just Irish. My mother was a Buck and her mother was a Rose. Anyone ever heard of them being Irish names? I hope so or I was lied too!

LoL... safe Rebecca,

My father had a good friend called Diarmid (sp??? not sure, I know it is wierd) Rose.

It was a bit like a boy named Sue, Dermott as I called him was huge, but had the softest southern Irish lilt.

very nice man with 6 daughters, and the tiniest, firecracker of a wife with long red hair.

My father worked with a lot of southern Irish guys on big construction works. All Celts together.

Jena.
