My spouse and I own a brewery and we always have a lot of spent grain from brewing beer. Can the chickens have some of the spent grain and hops to eat? Thanks for any info!

Your chickens will be very happy

Grain is grain, I suppose...is there any alcohol in it? Birds and animals certainly eat fermented fruit in the wild...

I would give them some, and see how they react. Regulate the amount so they don't get snockered

It's totally fine and no there's no alcohol as you're using grain that's been sparged or steeped to start your wort. No alcohol comes into play until after first fermentation.

I homebrew also and am planning on at least giving the chickens some of the spent grain. I make bread a dog biscuits out of them also. Just be careful because, as I'm sure you know, the grains can go sour pretty quickly...
