No I didn't check the rest of it. got rid of it sorry no more pics. As far as feed just laying mash some wheat and corn.

Actually, my girls did not have tumors. They were masses of solid infection and egg yolks that backed up into the oviduct. None of my girls ever had that type fatty stuff like I see in the picture; in fact, their organs were very healthy looking. Could be a liver thing, but I'm not a vet and haven't ever seen what I see in your hen.

This was one of my hens---see the oviduct tube with the "gunk" in it to the left?

This is what that stuff actually looked like:

No fatty stuff in any of the abdomens at all. All organs seemed normal, including the liver, in my hens.

The following came from a different hen's abdomen that had not laid in 8 months:

How much fat can a regular chicken can put on? If it is a matter of three weeks, fat could not go on it that fast.

I may be wrong, and William will correct me if I am, but I'm thinking a liver malfunction could be one cause of this. Also, it may have been going on much longer than three weeks since we unfortunately cannot see inside the bird and mostly, they hide ailments for quite awhile before showing symptoms.

Carla, that was the interesting thing. No strange stuff other than the oviduct "cheese" and masses of it in some of the abdomens.

some of those lumps look like masses, the larger firm looking white masses with lots of yellow fat around. some virues cause chickens to grow tumors. lipomas are fat tumors, people get them all the time. sorry for your loss
