Wow... I'm glad to hear you were able to get out...
It's that paranoia that made me put the kind of latches I did on the outside, and then a simple hook and eye on the inside... so I lock that when I'm in, but can get out... Oh man I'd have been freaking out... *shudder*
But... maybe 50 years down the road I would think the call to 911 was funny... maybe.
Kathyinmo just clued me into this- what a great way to start the morning- laughing till I cry- but I am SO glad you two were able to get out without kicking the coop down!!!
My sis and I used to lock each other in(mostly her locking me in) all the time.
But fortunately, I am able to squeeze through the little chicken door and get out into the run, then climb out using the tree that is right next to the coop.
The other day we were feeding really really fast because it was beginning to storm badly, and I was herding the chickens into the coop(I was in the run) and then I couldn't get out. Mom had been walking away, and I said "Mom! Mom! MOM!" "What?" "You locked me in." "oh."
Not the most convenient time. :b
