Okay another dead rooster.

i would bet it was the dogs, i have seen dogs play with there victims and not make a full bite (not puncturing) and that would certainly be enough to break bones and cause a lot of eternal damage that would otherwise not be seen.

if you see one of there dogs in the yard shoot it!
beware mexicans like to seek revenge though. not all but a lot. my experience with pit bull owners are that they are usually young drug dealers or just trouble makers. not referring to mexicans but all pitbull owners i am sure there are exceptions.

First I'd report it. Then I'd get some fiberglass rods, electric fencing wire, and a darn good charger. Put a strand low enough they can't duck under it (right where they'll stick their noses to try) and 2 strands above that not leaving enough width for their bodies to fit between. Takes a very short time, small amount of materials, low cost, and doesn't block your view. Then...

*zap*

Very few dogs will try it twice. Neither will most any other ground predator you have hanging about including humans. The neighbors electric sheep fencing is actually the only fence my akita will obey. I never leave her without supervision outside, partially because she'll dive right through barb wire and over 6' high cattle panels, but when we walk the property line I don't have to worry about her straying on that section. She hit it once and now won't even step over a downed wire when I tell her to.

you don't want to know what I would do to absolutely insure those dogs would never bother another chicken. (it involves slow poisoning) If I got found out, I'd get in trouble.

OK, you need to go for the jugular here. Write a nice letter to immigration explaining that you have some suspicions. Make no allegations. Use an old typewritter that cannot be traced. The letter should be unsigned.

If you sign the letter, they will put you through the ringer before they will do anything. For some reason, law enforcement seems to trust annonymous tips.

You don't want to deal with retribution, so be careful.

Good luck,

Rufus

That's a great idea. You see there used to be a mexican family that lived there and the dad has a construction company. Well they went to mexico for a month this summer and now the family moved and there are like 10 workers that live in the house and sit with their lunch boxes out at the street every morning waiting for the owner to pick them up. My husband is worried about revenge also. He said we will wake up and our garages will be gone. He says they work fast and unassemble everything before we even knew anything was up!

howz about we get thar dogs and use em for our "training" If you see the dogs killing the chickens, then tell somebody. Don't bother unless you have evidence and are absolutley POSITIVE that they are doing something they will get into trouble for... or if you don't make one big complaint, but lots of little ones to the animal controll guys, it works better. Also, get some eletric wire. it worked for us (but it was for the horses) just put it where you think they are getting in. Ask your husband. Blokes tend to know alot about that sorta stuff. i will say no more
