It works well with nuisance dogs.

I caught a dog in my hen house one night when I forgot to close them in, and my beautiful ancona died in my hands. She didn't have a mark on her. I don't remember how many the dog killed that night, but most didn't have a mark. Wish I'd had my .22 with me when I remembered to close the coop. Lesson learned...
