The hot water bottle is a good idea.... maybe I should give that a try... I also read that people put rocks in the incubator - I'm not sure how adding those will keep it warmer in one spot.. or even how to add them to the bator with the egg turner in place.... Any suggestions?

Once the rocks heat up they stay warm and give off heat. My understanding is you place them in the water wells under the turner.

Any rocks as long as they are washed/sterile. I use rocks in the water bottle for my brooder and I buy the nice clean smooth ones in the craft/flower section of the dollar store....lol

Okay another question or two. Tomorrow is day 18. So, I'll mark the air cell and add water to raise the humidity. I understand I'm not to open the incubator after. But what happens if the temp gets too high or too low?
