Okay, I know I have lost my mind. I sang to my chickens today.

dont feel bad or odd about talking and singing to your chickeys at all! At least they don't rate you!!! ha! Mine get a pleasant hello and the day's menu as i let them out, and maybe a song: "On mockingbird hill" you know, "Tweedle dee, thweedlie-dee-dee, It gives me a thrill, your welcome as the flowers on Mockingbird hill"
and in the evening they can sometimes get "Good night, ladies, . . ."
during baseball season, I sometimes have to belt out the national anthem. sorry bout that, neighbors! ha!

I touch everyone tails every night and talk to each one. Sing...they would probably run me out of the coop..HA....But my one Bantam rooster calls me every night waiting for his personal time to be held, cuddled and cooed for at least an hour. Naw..I would say singing to your chickens is pretty normal as long as they don't run you off..

Sometimes they sing! So, I read where if you sing back to them, they like it. So I did, and they stopped cold. They froze, like, "what the...". I even think my rooster is a Simon Cowell wanna be, as he just walks away from me when I sing.

So I stick to NPR 24/7 in their coop. Not only do they seem to like it, they are becoming educated. (and the raccoons hate it)

DH plays his guitar for them. They get talked to when we are out in the coop.
Our Sunday School teacher practices his Sunday lessons on his cows.
